Emma Dupont Etiquette School | Terms & Conditions

Please read our terms and conditions thoroughly

Terms & Conditions | Last updated October 2025

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before you enroll in any course or programme offered by The Emma Dupont Etiquette School. By confirming your booking, you agree to the terms set out below.

1. Bookings and Payments

All bookings are confirmed upon receipt of full payment. Payments must be made in pounds sterling via our secure online system. Places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved without payment. Once confirmed, your course fee remains fixed.

2. Course Access and Participation

Please ensure you have suitable internet access and technology for online courses. Access is granted to the named participant only and may not be shared or transferred. We reserve the right to withdraw access or remove any participant whose conduct is disrespectful, disruptive, or inconsistent with our values of courtesy and professionalism.

3. Conduct and Confidentiality

Our courses are conducted in a spirit of respect, kindness, and discretion. Participants are expected to uphold these standards at all times. Personal information or discussions shared during sessions or within our communities must remain confidential.

4. Intellectual Property

All course materials – including videos, written content, and recordings – are the intellectual property of The Emma Dupont Etiquette School. They may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used for teaching or commercial purposes without written permission. Access is granted for personal educational use only.

5. Certificates and Progress

Certificates of completion may be awarded at our discretion to participants who have fulfilled all course requirements. Completion of a course does not authorise participants to teach or reproduce our material in any form.

6. Limitation of Liability

We make every effort to ensure accuracy in our content, but we shall not be liable for any indirect loss, damage, or expense arising from participation. Our total liability shall not exceed the course fee paid. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall fall within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

8. Cancellations by You

Because of the limited number of places and bespoke nature of our courses, all bookings are non-refundable once confirmed. If you are unable to attend and a replacement participant is found for your place, we will refund your course fee less an administrative charge of £50. For online courses, please see Section 10 regarding transfers. All cancellation requests must be made in writing. Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within three weeks. We recommend arranging personal or travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.

9. Cancellations by Us

Each course requires a minimum number of participants to preserve the quality and balance of the learning experience. If that number is not reached, we may cancel or postpone the course. We may also cancel or postpone a course due to illness, venue unavailability, or events beyond our reasonable control. Participants will be offered either a transfer to a future date or a full refund of course fees. While every effort is made to provide at least seven days’ notice, we cannot accept responsibility for additional costs such as travel or accommodation. Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within three weeks.

10. Transfers

All transfer requests must be made in writing. For in-person courses, transfers can only be accommodated if a replacement participant is found for your place (administrative charge £50). For online courses, transfers to a future cohort may be arranged up to two weeks before the start date (administrative charge £20). Transfers cannot be made once a course has commenced.

11. Photography and Marketing

From time to time, photographs or short video recordings may be taken during in-person or online sessions for marketing or educational purposes. These may appear on our website, social-media channels, or printed materials. We are deeply respectful of our clients’ privacy. If you prefer not to be included, please notify us in writing before the course begins, and your preference will be fully honoured. No images will ever be sold or shared with third parties, and all materials are used with the utmost discretion to reflect the professional and elegant nature of The Emma Dupont Etiquette School.

12. Community Rules

Our online communities — including The Etiquette Beginners Community, The Etiquette Foundations Community, and The Finishing Circle — are private spaces created to support learning, confidence, and connection in a refined and respectful environment. By joining any of our communities, you agree to the following principles:

Members are expected to interact with courtesy, kindness, and discretion at all times.
Discussions and shared experiences within the communities are confidential and may not be copied, quoted, or shared outside the group.
Promotional posts, personal business links, or self-advertising of any kind are not permitted.
The communities are exclusively for women participating in or completing our courses. They are not open to etiquette professionals, students training to become etiquette teachers, or individuals creating related content for public or commercial use.
We reserve the right to remove any member whose conduct or communications are deemed to be inappropriate, unkind, or inconsistent with the ethos of The Emma Dupont Etiquette School.
By remaining a member, you agree to uphold the spirit of grace, integrity, and respect that defines our school.

13. Professional Participation Restriction

All courses, communities, and events provided by The Emma Dupont Etiquette School are intended solely for personal education and refinement. Participation is not open to etiquette professionals, those currently training to become etiquette teachers, or individuals intending to use our materials or teachings for professional or commercial purposes.

Should a participant later enter the etiquette profession, access to private communities, coaching sessions, and future live events will be respectfully withdrawn. Lifetime access to previously purchased course content will remain intact. This policy exists to preserve the authenticity of our teaching environment and to safeguard the intellectual property of The Emma Dupont Etiquette School.
